April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. I believe everyone deserves to grow and live in safe and healthy environments, whether at home, school, work or anywhere else in our world. I'm a loved one of a survivor and I share our story here:
This is why I'll be participating in SAAM and inviting you all to greater awareness and action during the month of April.
This is not a women's issue. It's a human issue and it's everybody's business.
I'll be playing music at the Mall of America Rotunda on Saturday, April 28th, 2012, 1:30pm, to stand with the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Demand the Change for Children. This will be a family friendly event that will include the Women's Drum Center, The Smooch! Project and youthrive! Check out the full program, lineup and details here!
